FAO Schwarz has returned to New York City in a new location at 30 Rockefeller Center after a 3 year hiatus. Young and old alike will enjoy the magic at the iconic toy store while exploring innovative and one-of-a-kind toys. Orion HD was the proud production partner to Swarovski & Chute Gerdeman, creating 2 giant crystal encrusted toy soldiers that flank the cash wrap, alongside sparkling signage and red velvet drapes that were all produced at our shop in RI to add a little extra enchantment to the space. Saks Fifth Avenue wanted a feature wall for the escalator area in their Boston, MA store.  Orion’s solution was to create wall panels that fit over the existing wall and livened up the space by adding a combination of crystal systems to add sparkle and interest to an otherwise standard white wall.  The panel to right of the photo is a crystal density system, that anchors the installation at the top of the escalator.

Swarovski’s San Francisco flagship store was created to impress the passersby with crystallizing the architectural elements within the store. Orion designed this beautiful custom chandelier, made to resemble the city’s renowned Lombard Street that simulated the streets iconic traffic pattern with crystal and light.  Orion also created all the casework and the strand system featuring the Swarovski swan shown to the right of the chandelier.

As part of a storefront display, Henri Bendel looked to Orion to design, engineer and install this crystal strand system that takes the shape of the famed Brooklyn Bridge. Orion designers came up with the concept of a forced perspective of the bridge, to give it a  more realistic look and feel.  The strands were installed in one of their New York City retail locations.
