Jennifer Lopez’ headlining residency ‘All I have’ in Las Vegas included a set adorned with thousands of sparkling Swarovski crystals. Orion was proud to be the fabrication partner for this amazing stage design.

Large swags draped with shimmering beads were draped in layers all along the backdrop. The Orion team carefully sets up each piece of scenery in our shop to ensure perfection prior to shipping.

For the Broadway show The Great Comet of 1812, Orion was commissioned to produce the celestial orbs placed on the chandeliers designed by Mimi Lien that were featured throughout the theater, creating an otherworldly experience.

Orion is proud to be a fabrication partner to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences® and Swarovski® to produce the Oscars stage. For the 2019 Oscars, Set Designer David Korins created a dazzling array of organic shapes consisting of over 41,000 Swarovski crystals. The ‘Crystal Cloud’ and ‘Crystal Swag’ took the Orion team over 2,100 hours to fabricate.

The 3 story high structures contained flowing ribbons of steel, and over 1,250 Swarovski Crystal Strands that created an unforgettable shimmering, atmospheric effect.

Orion is proud to be a fabrication partner to Swarovski® and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences®. For the 90th Academy Awards® presentation, designer Derek McLane introduced a glimmering proscenium made with Swarovski Active Panel which entails thousands of tiny crystals embedded onto a mirrored surface. The entire project contained over 45 million sparkling Swarovski crystals. Crystal has the amazing ability to bring in light, transforming a space into a sparkling rainbow of color. The crystallized facets are made up of varied geometric shapes covering roughly 1,750 square feet. Orion HD craftsmen were hard at work for over 3,250 hours to achieve the desired result. In addition to the proscenium, there were nine “Floating Oscars” in two sizes made with over 141,000 crystal beads strung on more than 3700 cables. Known all over the world as the little red headed orphan that stole that heart of a billionaire when his secretary chose her to stay for a week in his mansion, Annie is an internationally recognized Broadway musical.  When they needed a large scale faux chandelier prop that would be easy to put up and take down for each show, Orion was the company they turned to, to get the job done.  The chandelier is a strand system that was created with crystals from Swarovski.
